              Broadway Vocab

General Rush - Discounted tickets for any age! Only at the box office (usually right when it opens!)

Lottery - These tickets are usually given to the general public 2-3 hours before a show begins. You write down your name and they draw tickets randomly. You always need a government ID and cash.

Open-Ended - The show has no published closing date!

SRO - Standing Room Only. It's quite horrible to see a show this way (usually standing for more then 2 hours!) but a must if you just have to see a certain show that's been sold out.

Student Rush - Most shows will give any student with a valid ID (high school or college) two tickets per ID for cash or credit. Remember, only ONE of you has to be a student (unless specified by the theater)! Some shows though, are only one ticket per student ID.
